History:

There are hotels that are born
to become part of the
history of a place.

 

Hotel Nautilus was the first hotel built in Santa Margarida, in Roses, in the 1960s. Since then, four generations of the same family have cared for this space, keeping a family-friendly, welcoming and genuine spirit alive.

What began with Joaquim Viarnés and Teresa Oliveres continues today with the same passion for hospitality, blending tradition, warmth and a way of welcoming guests that brings many of them back year after year.

Our legacy

Since its beginnings, Hotel Nautilus has grown alongside the family that brought it to life. Each generation has left its mark, contributing new ideas and helping the hotel evolve without ever losing what makes it special: closeness, dedication, and a passion for caring for every guest.

A legacy that continues from generation to generation

1st Generation
Joaquim Viarnés and Teresa Oliveres, the hotel’s founders and builders, brought the first hotel in Santa Margarida to life.

2nd Generation
Josep Viarnés and Laura Aguila drove a major renovation, growing the hotel while preserving its family spirit.

3rd Generation
Kim Viarnés and Maite Fortunet have been the heart and essence of a warm, human, and authentic way of doing things.

4th Generation
Marina Viarnés and Ferran Viarnés represent the new generation that continues the family legacy with the same enthusiasm and commitment.
